Mother Son Date Night is next
The Greene County Community Center was a nearly magical place Friday evening as nearly 150 girls, dressed up to the max, and their dates — Dad, Uncle, Granddad, or Someone Special — danced at the annual Daddy Daughter Dance hosted by the Jefferson park and recreation department.
“Let It Go” from “Frozen” was a favorite song for the girls, while their dates rallied for familiar dance music like the Village People’s “YMCA.”
Mothers and sons weren’t there Friday night; their special night is a Mother Son Date Night Friday, March 20, from 6 to 8:30 pm. Boys in grades pre-K through fifth are invited to bring their mother, grandmother, or other special mother-type for pizza, bingo and games at the Community Center.
